Research

An agenda, shaped
by questions.

We explore decentralized systems, the blockchain infrastructure behind them, and the questions they raise about privacy and coordination. Our experiments help us understand where these technologies can be useful.

Current directions

These are directions for exploration. They guide the questions we ask and the experiments we choose to pursue.

Blockchain infrastructure & developer tooling

How can we make blockchain systems easier to build, inspect, and maintain?

We explore developer tools and infrastructure for building, inspecting, and maintaining applications across blockchain ecosystems.

Privacy, identity & verifiable systems

What can a system prove without revealing more than it needs to?

We investigate approaches to privacy, identity, and verification through experiments with cryptographic and decentralized technologies.

AI & decentralized coordination

How can intelligent systems interact with shared infrastructure?

We explore the interfaces between AI-enabled applications, coordination mechanisms, and decentralized systems.

Applied decentralization & Web2–Web3 integration

Where does decentralized infrastructure make an existing system meaningfully better?

We investigate practical Web2–Web3 integrations, including hybrid approaches to ownership, trust, privacy, and coordination.

From a question to something testable.

We investigate ideas through prototypes, compare approaches, and document the limits of what we learn. A useful result can be a working tool, a clearer trade-off, or a better question.
